Jeanette Furgo

Lead Singer
vocalist & educator

Jeanette Furgo – vocalist and educator – has actively pursued her two loves of jazz and opera for nearly 40 years.  A member of the Fort Worth Opera Chorus and Fort Worth Chorale, Jeanette also absorbs every opportunity to sing jazz with her own group and Buddy’s Big Band (19 piece swing band).  “The Furgos” is the jazz ensemble creation of her pianist husband Jeff Furgo and herself.  Their new album, “Retrospective”, will be released early 2025.  With her jazz group she has performed at Sundance Square, Lone Star Winery, Steve’s Wine Bar, Fortunata Winery, Bull Lion Ranch Winery and other DFW favorite hangouts.  Performances at Bass Hall and Will Roger’s Auditorium with the Fort Worth Chorale and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra are some of her most favorite moments.  Jeanette has had the distinct privilege of studying with Tierney Sutton, Greta Matassa, Cyrile Aimee, Rosana Eckert, Jennifer Barnes, Kelly Eisenhour, Paris Rutherford and Emily Castleton.  She has also performed under the direction of Arnie Roth, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Karen Kenaston-French, Ronald Staheli, and Mack Wilberg.  Recently she collaborated with Marie Osmond for a Holiday concert.  Jeanette has been a private voice instructor since 2001 and has taught talented vocalists in Keller ISD since 2013.  She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Humanities and a Music Minor from Brigham Young University.
